Inspired by the complexities of the movie, Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse, the artwork presented was created. The movie won the Oscar for Best Animated Picture in 2018, a genre that is usually dominated by Disney and Pixar. Being a black animator, this movie motivated me to keep pushing in my major as a Visual Effects student at Drexel University. The piece displays Sony's versions of Miles Morales and Peter Parker swinging over a city to grab the golden Academy Award. The animators and artists of the film added a multitude of visual flare into every frame, which is replicated in this picture. In the story, Miles Morales was very interested in graffiti. This is represented by the white spray paint behind the characters. All of this was made possible with a Wacom tablet.
