When starting to paint, artists must become familiar with their materials. To do that, the instructor had the young artists recreate a scene without relying on colors. Though I am well versed in working with acrylic paint, there will always be a time to learn new techniques. The goal was to create dimension with just shades to work with. Simple objects were chosen for introductory purposes.
