Light and shadow are more than enough to produce a finished artwork. Created in a figure drawing class, this chalk and charcoal drawing was made on black paper. In a limited time, the instructor had students create a realistic representation of a nude model. The students were not allowed to make outlines or any other traditional drawing tricks. The goal was to only draw the light and the shadows would fill in themselves from the black paper.
